BUZZ'S WHARF
Located at Ma‘alaea Bay Harbor, a bay famous for its “freight train” surfing waves, whale watching, and ancient Hawaiian village (some artifacts still present in front of the restaurant), is Buzz’s Wharf Restaurant. Established in 1967, it is a family owned restaurant in second and third generation hands. It is Eileen Cowan Macdonald (original owner from Tahiti) who brought the first cuttings of pink ginger (on our tables) to Hawaii from Tahiti. Buzz’s serves American cuisine with an island flavor; Sweet Markea Prawns™ Tahitian (house specialty), Teriyaki Steak and Mango Crème Brulée to name a few. Broiled to perfection, they use only juicy Black Angus beef. Buzz’s also features their Markea Prawns™ of New Caledonia from its own farms, located in New Caledonia, (near Australia and New Zealand). These saltwater prawns are fed nutritional food pellets which contribute to their exceptional clean and sweet taste. Markea Prawns™ are exported to Japan, France and throughout the United States. Ma‘alaea Bay Harbor (look for our blue roof), (808) 244-5426.
